The Hoa Lu consortium, led by Coteccons, lost a $250 million bid to construct the terminal at Vietnam’s Long Thanh Airport because they failed to submit a required 0.03% bidding fee, which amounted to $13. This consortium, which included six other contractors, contested the results, arguing that the winning Vietur consortium lacked the necessary experience for such a large-scale project.
Despite the setback, Coteccons chairman Bolat Duisenov remained optimistic, stating that this loss would not significantly affect their long-term goals.
